Hello Everyone!

Sorry for the smaller amount of posts last week.  I was away at a work conference and spent two days out of the week traveling and my days got away from me while we were there.  Thankfully, we are back to regular schedule this week and posts should be going up like normal.

Here’s what I wore in real life last week.  All of these outfits had a little extra planning because I was living out of a suitcase.  I strived to find outfits that worked a variety of ways in case I didn’t feel like wearing the pairing when the day came.  I was pleasantly surprised that the Christian Louboutin flats that I wore were comfy enough to walk over a mile in each day of the conference and I got no blisters from them even though it was the first time that I had worn them.  They were compliment getters everywhere I went and I am so very happy that I purchased them during my birthday spending spree!

Be sure to check out past week’s What I Wore in Real Life:  Weekly Chic posts here:   .01.02.03.04, .05.06.07.08.09, .10.11.

Happy Monday Everyone!

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend and are relaxed and refreshed for the week ahead.  I have a long day of meetings ahead of me today but have had such a calm, amazing weekend that I think I’m ready to take them on!

While I wear everything that I post on the blog, there are also a lot of extra outfits that never have the time to make it here as well.  These are my outfits from the past week….exactly as worn.  These are the outfits that I’ve created with no time to outfit plan and rushing out the door at lightning speed in the morning.  Here we go.

Monday:

This day had no scheduled meetings so I opted for a slightly more casual outfit than normal.  These leather pants and nude pumps are forever favorites of mine.  I literally wear both of them at least once a week.

|  Jacket: J.Crew  |  Tee:  Madewell  |  Scarf:  Zappos  |  Leggings:  Express  |  Shoes:  Ann Taylor  |

Tuesday:

It rained so planning for a day where I wasn’t continually cold and wet was key.  See how I plan for rainy days here.| Trench:  Burberry (look for less here)  |  Dress:  Ann Taylor (old; similar here)  |  Wellies:  Hunter  |

Wednesday:

I had a professional conference to attend that required me to look pulled together.  I think I got stopped over 10 times to talk about my shoes at the conference that day.|  Shoes:  Valentino (look for less here)  |  Pants:  Old Navy  |  Shirt:  J.Crew  (old; similar)  | Trench:  Burberry (look for less here)  |

Thursday:

Day two of the professional conference.  I realized that it’s a little to early in Winter for me to wear this type of outfit quite yet.  I froze but loved my blush blazer so much it kind of made up for it.|  Shoes:  Ann Taylor  |  Pants:  Old Navy  |  Top:  Anthropologie (old; this year’s version here)  |  Blazer:  Topshop (old; similar here)  |

Friday:

No planned meetings were scheduled today so I opted for shoes that I could run around in because I knew that meant un unpredictable yet busy day.  I was so thankful I wore flats as I think I only stayed at my desk for about an hour before responding to various calls that prompted me to hustle around campus.  I changed into this outfit before attending paint night and bringing out my inner artist.|  Shoes:  Tory Burch (old; similar here & here & here under $70)  |  Pants:  Old Navy  |  Top:  Anthropologie (old; similar here)  | Trench:  Burberry (look for less here)

Saturday:

The hubby and I ran some errands and had a date day.  This outfit will be posted later on this week.  Can I just say how much I’ve fallen in love with boyfriend jeans?!|  Coming to the blog later this week |

Thanks for stopping by!  What were some of your favorite items that you wore to work this week!

Hello All!

Welcome to my weekly series that shows what I wore all week in real life.  This is a series that gives specific details from every outfit that I wore in actuality last week.  While I do wear all of my blog outfits in real life, I don’t typically cover every single outfit I wear…this series is dedicated to that component of my wardrobe.

MONDAY:

Classics for Monday with the perfect leopard pumps.

|  Heels:  Sam Edelman  |  Pants:  Old Navy | Striped Tee:  Nordstrom (old; similar here)  | Trench:  Burberry (look for less here)  | Handbag:  Vintage Chanel  (see handbag review here)  |

TUESDAY:

This outfit has been a main stay in my wardrobe for the past few weeks…You wear outfits you love more than once and I guess I REALLY love this one!

|  See Full Post Here |

WEDNESDAY:

These pumps are referred to as the 12 hour pumps and they truly live up to their name.  I adore the lace detailing and can’t stop wearing them!  The best part is that they’re on sale!

|  Heels:  Banana Republic  |  Top:  Anthropologie  (old; similar here)  |  Jacket:  Banana Republic (old; similar here)  |  Pants:  Old Navy  |

THURSDAY:

This cardigan is one of my favorites in my closet.  While it is old, it can easily be created with the pieces listed below.  These pumps are beyond comfortable and kept my feet happy while I literally ran across our campus in heels for most of the day.

|  Heels:  Ann Taylor  |  Pants:  Old Navy  |  Sweater:  Banana Republic (sold out; look could be created with this plus this)  |

FRIDAY:

A busy Friday of meetings meant simplicity with a statement antler necklace that shined on it’s own & needed a basic professional outfit to pair with it.

|  Flats:  Elorie (old)  |  Pants:  Old Navy  |  Top:  Nordstrom  | Trench:  Burberry (look for less here)  |

| Trench:  Burberry (look for less here) |  Necklace:  Nest  |

SATURDAY:

The hubby and I headed off for lunch, farmer’s market, a movie and some errands.  This outfit got compliments everywhere we went.  I’m sure I’ll be wearing it again next weekend.

|Full Post Coming Later This Week  |

SUNDAY:

The coziest cardigan in the world for Super Bowl Sunday with friends.

One of my favorite things to watch on YouTube are the monthly favorites videos from my favorite vloggers.  I always find it so interesting to hear what others have used and loved all month long.  It’s always a means to which I find new products that I never knew existed and, in turn, find new products that I love and adore myself.  January brought with it a slew of favorites for me.  These are all products that I was obsessed with for the month of January.  These are the items I’m using and loving that are currently giving me major heart eyes!

1.  Christian Louboutin Lipstick:

My husband gifted this lipstick to me for Christmas.  I had lusted after this for over a year and couldn’t bring myself to purchase it.  I’ll be honest, the price is up there for a lipstick.  However, it has become my go to this past month.  I own the color “just nothing” and it really is the perfect nude!  The buttery texture keeps me coming back for more!  I am dying for more colors!

2.  Essie Gel Couture Nail Polishes:

These Essie polishes are heavenly.  Their neutral colors and long lasting ability keep me coming back for more.  The new “Ballet” collection is full of beautiful neutrals that are must haves.  I love the fact that I can paint my nails once a week with this polish and expect it to last a full week!

3.  Byredo Gypsy Water Perfume:

My Husband also purchased Gypsy Water for me for Christmas after I had lusted after it for ages.  Every single time we went to the city I made an effort to try it on and smell it.  It’s such a unique fragrance that you won’t smell on everyone (I hate when that happens!).  I’m smitten with it!

4.  Vintage Chanel Small Flap Handbag:

This vintage Chanel piece joined my collection a few months ago but I never really wore her until recently.  It’s no secret that I love a neutral colored outfit.  I must say, I completely adore the pop of color this little red bag adds to an otherwise minimalistic outfit!  I’ve realized that Vintage Chanel is so much better than the new versions (I’ll have a post coming soon discussing why!).  It’s hard to believe that this bag is over 20 years old!  It’s safe to say I’m obsessed!

6.   Banana Republic Fur Stole (here; similar here):

If you’ve been following along with my accounts lately, you’ve surely noticed that I’m OBSESSED with fur!   I love the opulence and chicness that it adds to a basic outfit.  This fur stole has the ability to transform any outfit to phenomenal at lightening speed.  This has become my staple in my wardrobe at least once a week!

7.  Pottery Barn Fur Trimmed Bathrobe:

There’s really only one thing that I truly enjoy about waking up early… the ability to put on my favorite robe and enjoy a nice cup of coffee.  This robe makes waking up much easier.  It’s soft, cozy, and super chic!  I love lounging around in it a little extra during the weekend!

8.  Goodnight Macaroon Over the Knee Boots (search “Carina” for these exact ones):

I’ve been dying for the Stuart Weitzman Highland boots.  However, I just couldn’t bring myself to pull the trigger on them because they are a bit pricey!  These boots are an amazing dupe!  I’ve worn them at least 3 days a week for all of January.  They’re good quality, under $100, and actually stay up on my legs!  They’re so good, I actually own them in two colors!

9.  Club Monaco Coat:

This coat is quite possibly my favorite of all time.  The Chanel-like details are utterly swoon worthy!  I find myself wearing this coat at least once every single week.  Honestly, it’s one of those pieces that I have to tell myself to take a break from and not wear every day.  It makes me feel completely chic and pulled together every time I slip it on.  The best part is that it is currently on sale!

What were some of your favorites from January?  What products do I need to check out?  Give me recommendations!

xoxo,

Abbie
