Today’s blogpost is a little different than my normal. However, I can’t help but let you in on it all. Sometimes, there are life events that I just can’t seem to shake out of my head and I really enjoy sharing them with you all! After all, friends (like us!) share great life stories too!!!

Here’s a little background to catch you all up: Even though I’ve been a blogger for the past 3ish years, I’ve also been carrying the full-time position of teaching first grade and running my site’s after school program. Now, for the last few years, I heavily debated trying something new (in administration) as I wanted to make a bigger difference for the kids in my community and build on my skills/passions as well. However, every single time it came time to apply for an administration position, I would decide that I would be too heartbroken to stop teaching & would continue onward with what I knew. However, something these past few months really seemed to make me decide bigger things needed to happen with life at work than staying complacent with what I knew. That being said, I applied and was offered an administration position. I will no longer be in my own classroom teaching. Instead, I will be moving to a new school and be promoting student’s learning on a whole new level. Now, while this change is scary because it is so new & unknown, I am excited to see where it leads.

Remenber: The only thing constant in life is change. Things will change and flux no matter what you do. My thought is that you might as well be in control of some of the changes. There is nothing worse than a “what if…” in life. I, for one, am going to do my best not to have those. Here’s to chasing your dreams and taking chances in the cutest shoes you own!
Below are some pictures of my classroom that I’ve been spending most of the week packing into boxes. It is such a bittersweet process. It’s sad to see my home for the past 8.5 years get packed away. However, I am beyond thrilled for this new opportunity to unfold!

Thanks for reading!
