Blogposts are most often the result of carefully curated outfit planning.  While the outfits that make it to the blog are often worn in real life,  in my case, they are simply the best of the best.  Blogposts are often created in the effort to showcase my favorites.  That being said, every outfit does not make it to the blog.  I will say that I am much like any other woman, I adore repeating my favorite outfits.  So, let’s get real.  Here is what I wore last week in real life.

It poured like crazy here on Monday.  Wellies and a skirt were the perfect combination.  See this post here on how to look chic in the rain.

|  Wellies:  Hunter  |  Fleece Lined Tights  |  Coat:  J.Crew  |  Skirt:  J.Crew  |  Sweater:  Asos (sold out; nearly identical here)  |

While the rain was no longer a factor, I woke up to thick ice outside.  My feet froze but my thick coat kept me toasty for a day of meetings.

|  Coat:  Banana Republic (old; similar here)  |  Top:  Banana Republic (old; similar here)  |  Pants  |  Heels:  Banana Republic  |

I can’t stop wearing this outfit.  This will be a blogpost later this week.  It’s all my favorite pieces combined into one look.  Check back in a few days for details.

In the craziness of the day, I somehow I forgot to snap my look.  I wore a white sweater dress, tan trench coat, and black over the knee heeled boots.  I’m sure I’ll be re-wearing it soon as it was one of my favorites of the week!

I knew I had a long (12 hour) workday ahead of me so I opted for some of my comfiest heels.  I woke up to ice again so I choose to layer up.  I stayed cozy with my thick blush pink coat and gray sweater together!

|  Coat:  Banana Republic (old; similar here)  |  Sweater:  Gap (old; similar here)  |  Shirt:  Nordstrom (old; similar here) |  Pants:  Old Navy  |  Heels:  Banana Republic  |

The hubby and I went out for a lunch, movie, and froyo date.  I opted for classic pieces with boyfriend jeans.  My “boyfriend” jeans are really just regular skinny jeans that I purchased 3-4 sizes up as their fit is much more flattering than your typical boyfriends.

|  Trench:  Burberry (look for less here)  |  Sweater:  J.Crew  |  Boyfriend Jeans:  Joes (size up 3-4 sizes for a fit like this)  |  Flats:  Valentino (a few season’s old; look for MUCH less here)  |  Handbag:  Vintage Chanel (a post on her will be coming later this week)  |

I stayed home in an effort to recharge for the week ahead.  I donned my favorite Lululemon pieces with no makeup and braided hair.  No one needs to see that.  LOL!  🙂

What’s your favorite look from this week?  Do you all enjoy these types of posts?  Should they become a Monday feature?  Let me know your thoughts!
